Concrete imaging principles and technical features

The principle of concrete imaging is simple: use special special ink to negatively print the content to be expressed on a specially treated printing medium, which we call imaging film.

Place the imaging film with the front side facing up on a smooth and flat working platform, and remove the air between the imaging film and the platform. Install the frame or component mold according to the design size, and then pour the specially formulated concrete into the component. (To achieve different image effects and component strength, the concrete materials and formulas are different).

When the concrete reaches the strength that can be turned over, turn the component over, then peel off the imaging film, and rinse it with a high-pressure water gun. The superficial cementitious material is washed away where there is functional ink, revealing the designed aggregate particle combination. The color difference between these aggregate particles and the cured cementitious material forms the design pattern.

Application Advantages

1.Enhance the taste and personality of the city
Image concrete is mainly used in high-end and tasteful structures. On the one hand, it can enhance the connotation of the structure for the owner, making the structure not only tangible but also meaningful. It can make the structure have unique connotations through the graphic expression of the facade while having a shape. On the other hand, it can enhance the taste and personality of the city as a whole.

2.Bigger, lighter, thinner
Image concrete can be made into hanging panels or walls. The installation of hanging panels is the same as traditional stone. Due to the development of concrete technology, especially the increasing maturity of UHPC technology, compared with stone, image concrete can be made larger, lighter and thinner. The largest image concrete (UHPC) our company has made so far is 3 square meters and 20 mm thick.

3.Long service life, with the same lifespan as the building body
Since image concrete uses concrete’s own materials for imaging, and does not use organic materials or other imaging materials, this kind of concrete image has the same lifespan as the building body. At present, the internationally accepted design life of concrete is 50-200 years. The durability of ordinary concrete in a non-corrosive environment is generally 50-200 years. If it is an indoor product (small pendant), the shelf life may be longer.
